Worms

Eisenia Fetida

Redworms are nature's master composters. One pound of Redworms can consume 1/2 to 1 lb of organic matter per day. Redworms not only consume organic waste at an incredible rate, they also leave behind natures ultimate plant growth enhancer - castings. Redworms enrich the nutrient content of whatever they consume as well as conditioning this organic matter to a fine loam that resists leaching and packing while the time released nutrients are easily absorbed by plants.

Eisenia Hortensis

Rapidly gaining recognition as a superior bait worm, this tough skinned, lively worm holds up well in frigid water as well as brackish salt water. They can be refridgerated or kept in bait cups at room temperature for several weeks. They are rasied not picked and are available ONLY WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE UNDER 88 DEGREES F.

Dendrobaena Veneta

Commonly known as Dendras, this versatile worm has many uses such as:
 Live bait for fishing
 Bird and wildlife food
 Vermicomposting
 Worm Bins
Primarily a fishing worm, Dendrobaena veneta (a.k.a. Dendrobaena hortensis) is a robust, epigeic (surface dweller) earthworm species that can tolerate much wider moisture ranges than many other species and has a preference for mild temperatures. Although it is not as prolific and does not grow as rapidly as the Eisenia Fetida redworm, it is a much larger earthworm and is used by a number of vermiculturalists for composting purposes.
